Patricia Langmuir Taylor
Patricia Langmuir Taylor of Selection Protection® Services, division of AUDAX CORPORATION, is a Human Resources Consultant equipped with over twenty years of corporate recruitment and selection experience. Trish's expertise emanates primarily from her background in retained executive search. Building on broadly based work with a variety of private and public organizations in Canada and the United States, she developed a stand-alone practice focusing on providing professional background due diligence reviews. These reviews are conducted on high potential candidates being considered for entry, intermediate, management, executive and board level responsibility.

Trish also conducted several organizational studies for the Canadian subsidiary of pharmaceutical giant, Wyeth; and, has facilitated recruitment training and a small diversity study for the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation.

Trish gained extensive search experience through her own practice, AUDAX CORPORATION, which she founded in 1989; and, notably, from her training as a Senior Consultant with Ernst & Young Management Consultants from 1991 to 1993. She also facilitated career-transitioning workshops for clients of Drake Beam Morin-Canada (DBM) in the mid 1990s, having had DBM as a client of AUDAX CORPORATION. Experience prior to 1991 includes the founding and partial ownership of a recruitment agency and employment in the initial stages of her career with Famous People Players, Hertz Canada and Travel Resources (the latter which was purchased by American Express in the late 1980s).

Formal education was earned at Victoria University at the University of Toronto, where she received a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1981.

Current professional memberships include The Toronto Board of Trade, the Women's Executive Network (WXN), the Human Resources Professionals of Ontario (HRPAO), ACP International, Toronto Chapter, Business Network International (BNI) "Corporate Connections Chapter", and the Institute of Corporate Directors (ICD).

Trish has contributed articles for industry publications focusing on issues related to the recruitment industry. She was a guest speaker at Federated Press' "Innovations in Team Organization & Management Conference" in October 1997, during which she presented her paper, "The Recruitment and Selection of Team Members for Organizational Purposes". It was published thereafter in Federated Press' HR Intelligence, and was adapted into a CD-ROM presentation on the internet.

She also moderated a panel of experts in a review of the broadly based role of corporate secretary at an annual Corporate Secretarial Congress in the late 1990s.

Major charitable involvements have included the Kids Help Phone and the Canadian Opera Volunteer Committee; the latter with which she was a Board Member and Chair of Opera Ball 2002, Un ballo in maschera.
